CVS has announced that it will begin selling CBD products in 800 of its stores across eight states.
By now you’ve probably come across cannabidiol, or CBD, in some form or fashion. Whether online, on a shelf in a local store near you, or in a restaurant or bar that’s added CBD-infused elements to its menu.
Typically reserved for smaller organic markets, such as Plum Market, CBD is now breaking into the mainstream commerce world through larger store chains.
CVS, the popular pharmacy with more than 9,800 stores nationwide, has begun carrying CBD-infused products in eight states. CVS stores in Alabama, California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, and Tennessee will now sell CBD products.
In total, more than 800 of CVS’s 9,800-plus stores will offer CBD over the counter to customers.
The announcement from the pharmacy giant came on Wednesday.
“We are carrying hemp-derived CBD products in select states to help meet consumer demand for alternative care options,” said CVS Health Spokesperson, Mike DeAngelis.
CBD benefits range from pain to seizure management. And not just in humans. Pet owners have also cited positive effects for their best friends in helping to reduce anxiety and provide pain management in their pets’ golden years.
As an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, CBD also provides several skincare benefits. It can reduce puffiness, soothe skin diseases, manage acne breakouts, and even help fight the signs of aging.
Recipes are a fantastic way to integrate the benefits CBD can provide into your daily lifestyle. Whether it be through a morning cup of joe, or a CBD-infused chimichurri sauce for your next grill out.
With CVS now joining the positive movement, those aforementioned ways, and the people who will be able to benefit from CBD, will only continue to expand.
